With Leeds being on the verge of selling Tyler Adams to Chelsea, could that speed up their pursuit of Glen Kamara? Harry Souttar has been linked with a loan move while Sam Bell has been linked with a permanent transfer. Is there anything on them? Here’s your latest Rangers transfer update.
Glen Kamara
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Tyler Adams deal to Chelsea is almost complete.
The completion of this deal may mean that Leeds will push forward in their quest to recruit a replacement. They’ve been heavily linked to Glen Kamara in recent weeks, we’re they waiting on this deal before pushing forward?
Pranav Shahaney, a journalist who covers Leeds and Rangers, among other clubs, has suggest Kamara is the Yorkshire clubs number one target. He had this to say on Twitter on Monday;
Leeds United see Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara as transfer target number 1 in case Tyler Adams leaves.
The United States midfielder is close to a move to Chelsea and talks are advancing.

Hopefully Adams imminent departure means Leeds will get a bid in for Kamara and this saga can come to an end. He clearly doesn’t want to be at Rangers anymore and he won’t get any game time will here. A quick end to this would be the best for everyone.
Harry Souttar
Geoff Peters from TalkSport broke this news late last night;
Rangers are interested in taking Harry Souttar on loan from Leicester City. Souttar was an unused sub against Coventry at the weekend and not in the 20-man #lcfc squad tonight at Burton. Other clubs also monitoring the situation. His older brother John joined Rangers last year.

His exclusion from the Leicester team is surprising considering he was a regular to end last season. They also paid just under £15m for him in January after an impressive World Cup with Australia.
They do have a new manager now in Enzo Maresca and maybe he doesn’t fancy the giant centre half. One of the biggest positives of him joining, besides his ability, is the fact he’s only 24 and has experience in the league.
This would be a surprising one if it happened, especially with Beale calling it a ‘lazy link’ after last night’s match. I would love it to happen though, he’s an absolute monster at centre back! How many 6’6 defenders do you know who are comfortable bringing the ball out from the back?
If anything I thought he may have followed Brendan Rodgers across the city but the coming days will be interesting to see if there was anything in this deal.
Sam Bell
The 21-year-old Bristol City winger has been linked to Rangers amongst EPL clubs by TeamTalk. He’s a right footed left winger and fans have been crying out for a wide man to be signed after the first couple of games. He’s a product of the Bristol City youth academy which has produced Alex Scott and Tommy Conway recently as well.
He broke through last season and managed 24 Championship appearances, scoring 3 goals and getting 1 assist. He’s started this season off very well and scored against Preston at the weekend. His numbers from last season weren’t overly impressive but scouts at the Preston game would’ve been very impressed by him at the weekend.
He’s a confident and direct winger who’s not afraid to take on defenders then have a shot. He reminds me slightly of Ryan Kent, just with a bit less ability to beat defenders. He looks to be capable of playing centrally but thrives from the left.
The likes of Brentford, Brighton, Crystal Palace and Wolves had scouts present to watch him against Preston so the race for him may hot up very soon. Would you be excited by this one?
Conclusion
Hopefully the Glen Kamara saga comes to an end in the next couple of weeks. Rangers will also hopefully get that reported £5m+ from him.
Harry Souttar seems unlikely, loaning out a £15m player 6 months after you bought them seems like bad business. Plus, he’s a quality defender, I’d be surprised if Maresca wasn’t impressed with him.
Sam Bell could be interesting but Rangers can’t compete with EPL wages so that may be a non-starter.
So that’s your Thursday Rangers transfer update. Which bit of news excites you the most?
