Rangers vs Hibs: Line-up Prediction

Eight days on from the high of last weekend Rangers take on Hibs at Easter Road. Now that the Old Firm is out the way these remaining games represent a further chance for fringe players to show what they’ve got. More rotations will probably occur between now and the end of the season with nothing but pride left to play for.

Here’s my predicted line-up for Sunday;

The back five remains the same as last week apart from one change. Connor Goldson is struggling and it seems the perfect chance to bring Leon King back in. Beale mentioned both Souttar and King in the presser, was that an indication that they would be the CB pairing?

The only other change I’m predicting is Ianis Hagi in for John Lundstram. This would mean Todd Cantwell dropping in to a deeper midfield position. Hagi got twenty minutes against Celtic last week and Michael Beale will be keen to see what he can offer.

Another player who may come in though is Alex Lowry. He came off the bench in the final minutes at Ibrox last week. Zak Lovelace did also but he’s away with England at the U17s Euro’s. It would’ve been good to see both get some game time but with only Lowry being available he may get some more minutes on the pitch.

The manager also mentioned some more youth players coming into the set up with Lovelace and Rice away on international duty. Could this mean players like Lyall, McCausland or Fraser could get minutes? It’ll be interesting to see who steps foot on the pitch and who steps up to the plate.

What do you think the line-up will be? Do you see many surprises or changes from the team last week?
