Rangers vs Celtic: Line-up Prediction

It’s no secret that the Scottish Cup Semi-Final is a game of enormous importance for Rangers and Michael Beale. It’s the final chance to secure some silverware in what has been an incredibly disappointing season so far. Rangers have a chance to salvage something from it though by retaining the Scottish Cup but Celtic stand in their way of the final and the recent head to heads haven’t exactly been in Rangers favour.

Sunday is the chance to change that and actually walk away with something from this season but that will involve Michael Beale having to get his first Old Firm win.

Beale has some big decisions to make in defence and wether to bring Kent straight back in or not but below is our predicted line-up;

McGregor – The only real option, no doubt he starts.

Tavernier – Probably Rangers best player at Parkhead as he led by example and picked up two goals.

Goldson – Rangers most important defender, the back line is suspect without him in it so if he is fit he has to play.

Souttar – He’s performed better than Davies the last couple of games and Rangers could do with his physicality and aggression for this game.

Barisic – Considering Yilmaz hasn’t played the last few games it’s likely the manager sticks with the Croatian due to his consistency over recent months.

Lundstram – With Jack unfortunately out he really is the only option to come in, in this position. This is his chance to regain some form and give the fans something back as there’s been heavy criticism of his lack of form this season. A huge game for Lundstram and his Rangers future.

Raskin – One of Rangers most impressive performers since he came in. He adds a grit and determination which had been lacking in recent times and will be crucial in breaking up their play and winning the ball back.

Cantwell – He’s been Rangers best creative force recently and he’s one of the players on the pitch who will be able to unlock their defence and change the game in a split second. He will also be crucial in how the game turns out.

Sakala – We’ve went for Sakala due to his pace and unpredictability, he was key against them in the January game at Ibrox and could also be key in the Semi-Final.

Kent – Michael Beale’s favourite, didn’t turn up the last time at Parkhead but is capable of changing the game in an instant. Potentially his last chance to perform against them and leave fans with an everlasting positive memory.

Morelos – The only option really, he can be key in Rangers pressing their defenders and they made mistakes at Parkhead. He’s key to making sure Rangers press high and force them into mistakes to create chances/goals.

This is how we would line up, how would you line up for this game?
