Rangers A-Z: Keep or Sell? S-U

In this edition of keep or sell the focus is on John Souttar, James Tavernier and Malik Tillman!

S – John Souttar – He had already agreed a move to Rangers before his incredible performance in the Scottish Cup Final last season. That showed fans what he was capable of. Unfortunately his first season at Ibrox has been injury riddled.

That was the only reservation most fans had over his signing and sadly his injury issues flagged after his debut. Since he’s came back in though, minus the mistake at Parkhead, he’s been solid and getting better every game.

He’s comfortable on the ball and great at passing through the lines. He’s a modern day centre back that also loves a tackle. He’s aggressive on the ground and in the air.

Still only 26 he’s got plenty left in the tank and a full pre season will do him the world of good.

Verdict – Keep.

T – James Tavernier – The clubs captain and one of the few players who actually looks like scoring when they get forward. He’s been Rangers biggest threat in both recent OF games which is a huge concern.

A current Rangers icon and his performances this season leave no doubt he’ll be the starting RB next season.

Verdict – Keep.

Malik Tillman – This decision mostly depends on the players wants and desires. A player with huge potential to make it to the top level he’s had an impressive first full professional season.

14 goal contributions in 28 SPFL appearances but his biggest criticism is a failure to turn up in the OF games. These games have passed him by and that’s where the doubt to spend the money comes from.

The club seem willing to do the deal it just all depends on whether the American fancies Scotland as the next step of his career.

Verdict – Keep.

Do you disagree with any of the verdicts? Would you spend the money on Malik Tillman?
