In an exclusive for The Mail Stephen McGowan revealed that Fashion Sakala turned down what was believed to be a ‘lucrative offer’ to go to Saudi side Al-Fayha.
The article had this to say;
Rangers striker Fashion Sakala has turned down a big-money offer to move to Saudi Arabia.
Mail Sport understands that Saudi Pro League side Al-Fayha came in for the Zambian international, a second-half substitute in Wednesday night’s 3-1 pre-season defeat to Greek side Olympiakos at Ibrox.
Michael Beale is poised to complete the double signing of Danilo and Jose Cifuentes. And, on the verge of nine new signings this summer, the Ibrox boss has confirmed ‘three or four’ enquiries for players likely to find themselves toiling for first-team action.

The rumoured fee was around £4m which was first posted by The 4th Official via Patreon. The article posted on July 13th had this to say;
Also, I have been talking with several people throughout the day and it seems Fashion Sakala is also in discussion regarding a move out of Rangers. The club in question is from Saudi Arabia and the transfer fee being discussed is £4m. It’s not close to done, but discussions are well underway.

If the rumoured £4m fee was in fact correct, I’m sure many fans would have been happy with that. However, Fashion Sakala does contribute goals and assists, which we haven’t seen from any of the new forwards so far.
Do you think it’s worth keeping him? How much would you sell him for if he was to leave?
In the article previously referenced from The Mail, Michael Beale had this to say on out going transfers;
There have been enquiries about three or four players.
Next week, we have to name a European squad for the first two games, so, naturally, that will mean that some players won’t be able to make that.
That’s the nature of the game. Every season, one or two miss out. As we get closer to it and I am not using everybody, you will find that one or two will probably want to have guarantees of playing and I am probably not willing to give that — so they will have to hedge their bets one way or another.

Who would you like to see sold from the current group of players? Hopefully there’s some outgoings in the coming days as the current squad really needs trimmed down.
There’s still plenty of time in the transfer window so it will be interesting to see what happens next.
